This is not an especially good wine.  It’s drinkable, which is more than I could say for some others.

Ignoring the slight hint of vinegar on the cork, there’s a sweet grape aroma when first poured in the glass.  This wine has a deep ruby color.  Tastewise, the wine is not overly dry with well controlled tannins and hints of oak.  There’s a slight burn as the wine clears the mouth and enters the throat.  There’s a very faint astringent taste.  The wine hails from the Maule Valley of Chile.

The wine is drinkable, especially with food.  Another reviewer recommends the wine with elk steaks?  Other reviewers give the wine average reviews.

The reasons for picking this bottle off the shelf were to use it as a comparison with a previous review and to try a Chilean wine.  As for Chilean wines (this is my first), another reviewer notes this is not a good example of what Chile can produce.   As for comparison with a previous inexpensive Cabernet review which some readers have taken exception, this wine is much better.
