I’m not sure if this heron did this for fun or was just aborting his dive for a fish?  Maybe, some day, I’ll go back and watch him again.

    Superb. There are some Herons near where I live and I can spend ages watching them. You have captured this one beautifully 🙂

      Thanks so much. I hope to go back and get a few more pictures showing how he got into this position if he’ll cooperate. It’s a little unusual. He seems to be the resident heron at this small pond and fairly comfortable with people around.
