Clancy’s Tortilla Chips – 2015
The bag changed. I’m not sure when. Have the chips changed? The answer is no. They are still the same chips, same price, same calories. That’s good.
For price, taste and quality it’s hard to find better tortilla chips. Here’s the original review with the old bag, back in 2011. With the change of the bag I felt a re-review was in order to see if anything in the bag changed. I’m happy to say the chips in the bag seem to be just as good as they were in 2011.
On first taste I thought these chips were less salty than the chips in the old bag. But according to the nutrition label there are actually 5 mg more salt (115 mg versus 110 mg) in the “new” chips. Some readers have noted they prefer a less salty chip. There’s no help here for those readers. For my taste, the saltiness of the chip is just right.
Oh. And the bag looks much better also.
Price $1.19 – 13 ounce bag, 140 calories per ounce (about 7 restaurant style chips)

I love the chips. The last bag I bought had a black substance on some of the chips. I thought it was extra pepper but its not. I hope it’s not mold or dirt. Please contact me.
