Here’s what went wrong with the picture.
I set the camera ISO incorrectly. I meant to set it for a range of 400 – 3,200. Instead I accidentally set it for an ISO range of 3,200-3,200. The 3,200 ISO mistake forced the camera to use that ISO and set the shutter speed really high in order to have a proper exposure. That meant a shutter speed around 1/4,000 or faster. The combination made for some very grainy images. I cleaned this up a little with PC software, but it’s still not a very good picture.
The only thing to do is go back and try again. But burr, today was around 25 degrees F. Tomorrow will lower the outside temperature by 20 degrees.
