The turtles are hard to find when there’s still ice on the pond. There really was some ice on that pond. Bills don’t seem like they get cold, but most people know what a cold nose is. I’m sure there’s a term for that kind of comparison other than , just plain nuts.
yeah…no, I got side tracked and haven’t written it yet…it seemed like it was going to be a long one, and I just wanted to get something on my blog, opted for the short piece

If you’re going to have a guest photo, the least you could do is demand a dang turtle (or turtle dove, minimum).
And shouldn’t it be: “warm-billed”
