Lens Flare and Contrails, Trumpeter Swans

Sometimes strange things happen.

I rather quickly concluded that I was not going to easily get a good picture of a flying Trumpeter Swan with a $25  800 mm manual focus, manual stop down lens.  So I started to look at the local Craig’s List, eBay and other sources for a used lens that was auto focus and went out to around 300 mm.  Here it is, another $25 lens.

Out of the new lens and camera combination came this interesting shot.  I put the swans in the camera.  Everything else got in the camera by itself.  Sometimes strange things happen.
